Three ways to make the List view easier to read

Based on a review of the live Local SEO board (Nov 5). Each concept is a clickable mock: check items off, switch filters, open panels. The Kanban view doesn't change in any of them.

What I saw on the Local SEO board today

The same values repeat on every rowEach of 34 template steps shows "Not Started", the card's date ("Oct 1 ×") and an empty assignee circle, so the rows that matter don't stand out.
Overdue doesn't look urgentOct 1 (35 days late) is styled the same as any other date. The one card marked Stuck gets just a small pill.
You can't scan the whole boardEvery card opens fully expanded, so 4 cards take about 5 screens of scrolling. You can't see who is where at a glance.
Finished sections still take spaceA section with all 10 steps done still shows a header, "Show 10 Completed Tasks" and "Add Checklist Item" (3 rows for zero work).
Too many always-visible controls"Add Checklist Item" after every section, a × on every date, and lock/eye/tag icons on every card are all visible all the time.
No way to slice the listThere's no filter, search, grouping, or "mine" view in List. The only way to find your work is to scroll.

The three concepts

CONCEPT A · CHOSEN, v2

Quiet List

Today's list with the noise taken out. Lowest risk and the fastest to build.

  • Steps only show values that differ from the card
  • Cards collapse to one line with the next step
  • Finished sections fold into one line
  • Overdue / Stuck / Mine chips and search
v2: all live features + phone layoutOpen →
CONCEPT B

Campaign Matrix

For template boards like Local SEO: clients down the side, phases across the top.

  • See every client's progress on one screen
  • One tick per step, colored by status
  • Click a cell to edit in a side drawer
  • Each column shows how many clients finished it
Effort: mediumOpen →
CONCEPT C

Action Queue

Lists steps instead of cards, sorted by what's due, with a detail panel on the side.

  • Grouped by Overdue / Today / Next 7 days
  • Regroup by client, phase or owner
  • Side panel instead of a modal
  • Keyboard: J/K to move, X to complete
Effort: medium–largeOpen →

Update (Nov 5): Quiet List v2 adds back every live list feature and a new phone layout. Desktop · Phone preview · Original v1

These are design mocks only, not wired to the PMS. The data is sample data shaped like the live Local SEO board (same template sections and steps, client names changed). The concepts can be mixed: for example, A's de-noising works as the "Rows" mode inside B or C.
